Hello!
I am so excited to welcome you back to the 2026-2027 school year. Hopefully you had some time to relax and unwind with some of your favourite people over the summer, as I did. The year ahead will be full of connecting, learning, and building relationships with our Spring Valley community, with students at the heart of everything we do.
This is my 21st year in education and I am excited to get to know the staff, students and families at this amazing school, as a first time Vice-Principal. I taught at Black Mountain for almost 18 years and was fortunate enough to have my two children attend there as well.
My background is in teaching grade five, music, PE and coaching various sports. My son is 18, recently graduated from RSS, and my daughter is 16 going into grade 11 at RSS. Traveling, playing piano, hiking, taking in concerts and skiing at Big White when not chasing my kids or my schnauzer round out my days.
I believe in being a lifelong learner and will be learning alongside our students and staff. At the center of my education philosophy is building meaningful connections with students, staff and our community, through valuing the strengths and needs of all of our learners.
I look forward to connecting with you and am excited for an amazing year of learning ahead of us!
